For Tasmanians, By Tasmanians
Live & Die Well would like to invite you and your community to an opportunity to raise community awareness of the potential impact of legalising assisted suicide and euthanasia. Mersey MLC, Mike Gaffney is expected to introduce the End-of-Life Choices (Voluntary Assisted Dying) Bill 2020 into the Legislative Council in late August for debate in September.
We are concerned that this legislation will greatly impact the most vulnerable members of our community and in response to this to this we would like to provide faith communities an opportunity to screen the documentary Fatal Flaws (56 minute or 80 minute version).
Produced by Kevin Dunn, the documentary follows Kevin as he travels across different countries, Netherlands, Belgium, United States and Canada, talking to both the public and professionals from both sides of the debate. His intention is to bring to light the ‘flaws’ in euthanasia and assisted suicide laws.
A short promotional video of this documentary can be viewed at: https://fatalflawsfilm.com/
If you are interested in hosting a documentary screening, all you need to provide is a location with a large television or digital projector. We can provide the documentary footage in a convenient format as well as marketing material to help you with promotion. We can also provide material for people to take further action on this issue.
For further information on this documentary please go to: https://fatalflawsfilm.com/
There will be no charge for screening Fatal Flaws, but the producers of this documentary have asked for each venue to contribute a donation to the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition to help cover the production cost of the documentary at: http://www.epcc.ca/contact-us/donate/
If you would like to host a screening or you have further questions please do fill in the form!
